Political and corporate interests collide

Applications for the FSU president position are due tomorrow, and I am quite confident that there will be qualified candidates in the pool.[1]

Supporters of Senator Thrasher argue that he is qualified for the position because he can raise funds from the Legislature. But as FSU students and others have suggested, funds from the Legislature aren’t the only thing we need to worry about as the gates just may be opened to increased corporate influence as well.  As I think about the $1.5 million Koch deal, the song lyric, “You ain’t seen nothing yet,” comes to mind.
